John Lawrie Metals has established processing facilities in Aberdeen, Montrose and Evanton, near Invergordon, where scrap metal is sorted and sheared for recycling into new steel products. Reuse and recycling is a viable alternative to scrapping, and it's an option that has a positive effect on our clients' environmental credentials. Our goal is to provide a problem-free solution for the removal, storage and the ultimate recycling or resale of scrap metal.
Scrap metal prices can be linked to industry-recognised independent steel-market commodity values. Published on a fortnightly basis and available online, the Material Recycling World (MRW) takes into account up to date prices for a variety of scrap metals, thereby ensuring clients receive the best value for their scrap at all times.
The largest metal recycler and exporter of processed scrap metal in North and North-East Scotland, John Lawrie Metals operates waste treatment facilities in Aberdeen, Montrose and Invergordon and handles around 200,000 tonnes of metal each year.
